"On September 3, 1981, I came home at 2:00 a.m., drunk and stoned as usual.  I stumbled to the couch and started flipping channels with the remote.  (Yes, there were remotes in 1981!) I stopped on the Christian station “The 700 Club” where Pastors Pat Robinson and Ben Kenslow were asking if anyone out there needed Christ.  I changed channels, several times, but kept landing on that station.  Pat Robinson asked me to put my hands on the TV screen and ask God to forgive my sins.  I crawled on my hands and knees to the TV, put my hands on the screen, and prayed the sinner’s prayer.  I immediately came up off the floor with my arms in the air, praising God, completely sober and free from addiction!  It was a miraculous cure!"  Click here to read more of this story.

"After my first year of college I got a roommate and this is when my crawl began to head off of the path.  I started going to parties with my roommate and eventually I found myself becoming a social drinker.  I would drink one or two beers and eventually I got to where I would drink mixed drinks.  Eventually my social drinking would become an everyday thing.  We had our own little liquor store in our cabinet above the stove in our apartment.  Pretty much everything you could think of to make mixed drinks.  We bought a Bartending for Dummies book and started at the beginning and were working our way to the end trying all of the different drink combinations. I would justify it in my mind because I never drank enough to get drunk, but in my heart the Holy Spirit was convicting me."  Click here to read more of this story.

"Between 1967 and 1970 a sovereign work of the Holy Spirit began a new work within me. There was also a sovereign work of the Holy Spirit going on among the hippie generation of that time.  They were called, "The Jesus Freaks."  I was not a part of that movement but did become personally interested in searching for spiritual truth.  I asked a lot of questions about my faith, always testing the spirits in light of Prayer, the Word, and the Holy Spirit.  I sought the Lord concerning any issue or previous teaching I had questions about.  I found the Holy Spirit will teach us all things, even the deep things of God."  Click here to read more of this story.
